My blog has got incredibly popular of late. This is a good thing, right? Sadly, no. Very wrong. It’s not my regular visitors and friends at all points in the free and not so free world that have me exercised. It’s those hard-hearted, vexatious, spotty people who spend their time spamming my virtual home here on WordPress. I checked today and have 475 spam comments in the darned efficient spam catcher used by WP. That means that of the time I spend here on the Internet, more of it is spent clearing out the dross and less is spent on the stuff you are here to see.

12 – slices bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled
1 -cup shredded Swiss cheese (4 oz)
1/3 -cup chopped onion
3/4 -cup Original Bisquick™ mix
1 1/2 -cups milk
1/8 – teaspoon pepper
- 1 Heat oven to 400°F. Grease 9-inch glass pie plate. Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion into pie plate.
- 2 In medium bowl, beat remaining ingredients until blended; pour into pie plate.
- 3 Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
This pie is impossibly easy because there is no crust to roll out. The crust forms as the pie bakes. Chop 3 green onions to use instead of the chopped yellow onion. You’re frying anyway, so why not fry a double batch of bacon and store the extra in your freezer? My son loves pancakes! If it was up to him we will have them every morning! and although I do have quite a few pancake recipes ranging from vegan pancakes to carrot cake pancakes and Arabic Atayef pancakes, I am always on the look out for new and interesting pancake recipes. Dutch baby pancakes have been on my list of recipes to try for quite some time.
Dutch baby pancakes, sometimes called a German pancakes, or a Dutch puff, are sweet baked pancakes that are very similar to a popovers. They are derived from the German pfannkuchen and they are made with eggs, flour, sugar and milk, and usually seasoned with vanilla and cinnamon. Occasionally fruit or another flavoring is also added.

If you ogle food photos on the regular like everyone ever, you’ve probably come across Shakshuka. After initial thoughts of “HEY WHAT A FUN WORD” subside, you have a choice: Make the Shakshuka that basically just undressed you with its eyes, or button up and move along to more food porn. Being a BWOACIS (Bitch Without A Cast Iron Skillet) myself, I always thought Shakshuka was just another unreachable dream. The dragon of my post-meal stupors.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, “WOW SHAKSHUKA IS STILL SUCH A FUN WORD,” but also “Hey Molly, just buy a cast iron skillet already.” Excellent argument. Recently, I’ve been thinking about living a simpler life. The idea started when I visited Mickey Trescott’s new home in the Willamette Valley over the summer, but it really solidified when we moved all of our things from Maryland to Florida last month – over 14,000 lbs worth of belongings.
